This November, YouVersion celebrates the milestone of 1 billion device installs across its family of Bible apps.
This milestone comes during a record-breaking year for Bible engagement, with YouVersion global app installs up more than 12% year-over-year and daily usage growing even faster, with an 18% increase compared to last year. Used in every country around the world, the YouVersion Family of Apps also sees one billion app opens every 39 days, highlighting the growing engagement of its global user base.
Since the original Bible App was released in 2008, YouVersion has grown to help people engage with the Bible in over 2,300 languages. In the UK alone, YouVersion’s apps have been installed more than 17.7 million times, reflecting the growing global demand for digital access to the Bible.
In conjunction, 3 leading Scripture engagement apps, YouVersion, Glorify & Hallow, are joining forces to celebrate the power of God’s Word by establishing Global Bible Month this November.
Beginning November 1, the 30-Day Bible Challenge invites people from all walks of life to engage with Scripture consistently for a month. Research shows that reading the Bible four or more days each week changes lives, and throughout November, people around the world can experience that transformation. More than 1.5 million people have already committed to taking the challenge.
