Recently, at our annual staff dinner, we were encouraged from God’s word from Christian entrepreneur Jason T. Smith, who shared from Ephesians 3.20-21,
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church & in Christ Jesus to all generations forever & ever. Amen.
He shared about navigating through life & ministry with 3 Cs: Conviction, Creativity, Courage. He also suggested 4 spiritual KPIs (key performance indicators) as servants of the Lord, a checklist that we should ask ourselves (daily). Do we:
- Love God dearly
- Hear God clearly
- Obey God fully
- Trust God completely?
This reminded me of a picture I came across from a Christian artist, Jack E. Dawson, titled “Peace in the Midst of the Storm,” of a bird resting soundly in a small cave/nook carved into the rock (Christ our Messiah, Peter’s confession) amidst the crashing waves & storms (of life).
