After a 3-year hiatus from WordPress, guess what? The prodigal blogger has returned. Due to my free web hosting provider suddenly suspending my account and blog without notice (and really, without excuse! no good reason, no backup, no more content) and also the resurgence of my blogger spirit which has been dormant or rather stagnant save an occasional event or sharing from FB or Twitter, I have been convicted and decided to migrate back to open-source, free missiotheo.tech/. I gave up on my paid hosting plan a while back, and now am still deciding even whether I should still keep my own domain. I'm starting the process also of slowing retrieving old content (basically since I migrated in Jun 2011 up to present day; thankfully because of cross-platforming posting, I should only lose half a year until Feb 2012, from which point I have copies on FB or Twitter). Either way, I will be blogging back here again, hopefully on a more regular or semi-regular basis, so stay tuned!
Incidentally, this marks the 500th post of this blog, which began about 11 years ago when I began serving in full-time ministry, which works out to about 3+ posts a month, maybe about 1 post per week. Keeping up with regular blogging in the midst of balancing real life, namely leading a growing family with young children, handling pastoral duties and ministries on a full-time basis (which basically means 24/7 round the clock stand-by), and squeezing in couple and personal time for leisure and growth (physical, mental, social, spiritual) is particularly challenging. Yet there is also a sense of passion and personal fulfillment in engaging the mind in disciplines of thinking, reflecting, writing and expressing, so I hope to persevere in keeping this blog alive through regular posts and focusing on engaging and integrating theology, ministry and culture as always. Hope that you will be blessed, and do drop a comment or note, would love to hear different viewpoints and dialogue/interact with readers.
