Founded in 1996 as Life Covenant Church in Oklahoma, it merged with MetroChurch in 2001 & started multi-site worship services. As of 2025, Life.Church has 46 campuses, mainly in the South Central region of the United States, with an average weekly attendance of 76,000-85,000.
Life.Church & Bobby Gruenewald (pastor, innovation leader) launched YouVersion as an online bible (website) in 2007, & the Bible app in 2008.
